Introducing the Black Tiger 11Bravo Shirt: A Tribute to the Oath Takers

Growing up in the '80s felt like living inside a real-life action movie. Back then, we were fueled by larger-than-life icons who defined what it meant to be tough, determined, and relentless. GI Joe, John Rambo, Chuck Norris, Arnold Schwarzenegger... These weren’t just characters; they were ideals that encouraged us to "Be All You Can Be." Pair that with the nostalgia of family traditions and Army recruiting slogans, and you had a generation ready to take on any challenge. 

These fictional heroes showed us the glory, the adrenaline, and the camaraderie. But what they didn’t show us was the grit and sacrifice off-screen. They didn’t show us the lasting scars, the battles fought long after leaving the field, or the challenges soldiers face when they transition to civilian life. 

The Black Tiger 11Bravo Shirt isn’t about reliving movie moments. It’s about honoring the real-life warriors who lived it, breathed it, and bore the weight of their commitment every single day. 

What is 11Bravo? 

For those who may not know, “11Bravo” is the U.S. Army MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) for Infantryman. It’s the backbone of any land force, the boots on the ground, and the ones most likely to directly face combat. It’s not just a job; it’s an identity, a badge of pride, and for many, a lifelong brotherhood.

The 11Bravo design on this shirt is more than just art or words. It’s a statement. It represents the blood, sweat, and unyielding dedication of those who lived it. It’s a tribute to the Infantrymen who stepped up, took the oath, and did what most people can't or won’t do. 

The Story Behind the 11Bravo Design 

The 11Bravo logo holds personal meaning for me. It’s more than just a tribute to Infantrymen; it’s a way to honor my brother, Craig. 

Craig proudly served in the Army as an 11Bravo Infantryman, inspired by our father, grandfather, and many great uncles who also served under the same MOS. Following his training, he joined the elite 1st Battalion Rangers and later became a Forward Observer. Craig epitomized everything "Be All You Can Be" stood for. He pushed himself to the limits in all areas of his life and embodied the drive, discipline, and honor that comes with being a soldier. 

Even after his service, 11Bravo remained a central part of his identity. Racing boats became his other passion, and, to no one’s surprise, Craig chose "11B" as his racing number. It wasn’t just a number; it was who he was. 

Yet, like many soldiers returning from the Global War on Terror (GWOT), Craig faced challenges transitioning back to civilian life. His years of service left their mark, like they have and continue to do on so many others. Tragically, my brother’s life was cut short in a car accident late last year. The grief of losing him was overwhelming, knocking me to my core. He wasn’t just my brother—he was one of my closest friends and a lifelong source of inspiration.

In the wake of his passing, I channeled my energy into building the Black Tiger website. It became my anchor, a way to stay grounded. Black Tiger embodies a mindset of self-improvement, resilience, and the determination to rise after every fall. That mantra has been my guiding light through the darkness of grief.

This 11Bravo design is my way of keeping his spirit alive while honoring the countless other infantrymen who put service above self and lived the motto to "Be All You Can Be." 

Giving Back to Those Who Gave Everything 

We’re not just creating a shirt; we’re creating a symbol of respect, support, and remembrance. With every purchase of the Black Tiger 11Bravo Shirt, we’re donating a portion of the proceeds in Craig’s name to Warrior’s Heart, a program dedicated to helping veterans and first responders who struggle with PTSD, mild traumatic brain injuries (MTBI), or substance dependency. 

Warrior’s Heart is one of the few organizations exclusively focused on helping those who’ve carried the heaviest burdens. They provide clinical treatment, holistic care, and a community where warriors can rebuild their lives.
